Justyna Koc Teaching Excellence Award
Triton College School of Business professor Justyna Koc won the Region IV Award for Teaching Excellence presented by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
Professor Koc received the award at the International Accreditation and Awards Gala in Washington, D.C., on June 19. ACBSP recognizes those who exemplify teaching excellence in the classroom.
“Justyna brings a friendly personality to the job each and every day,” said Dr. William Griffin, chairperson of Triton’s School of Business. “Her students consistently state how helpful she has been with their accounting-related questions and how supportive she is of their needs. She is very passionate about what she does.”
The ACBSP Associate Degree Commission established the “International Teaching Excellence Award” in 1995. ACBSP is the only organization of business schools that gives such an award for recognizing excellence in teaching.
Professor Koc began working at Triton College in 2015. She teaches Basic Accounting, Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I and II, Financial Accounting Research, and Excel for Accounting and Business – a course that she recently developed.
Since 2017, professor Koc has been an advisor to the Triton College Accounting Club. Under her leadership, the club has been recognized with multiple awards from the Triton College Student Association (TCSA).
Her other recognitions include Outstanding Full-Time Faculty Member from Triton College and Outstanding Educator Award from the Illinois CPA Society.
